Grotto. Mid C18. Coursed sandstone opening to brick line tunnel leading from
Great Pool. Opening has rusticated stone and there is a retaining wall to one
side. Possibly designed by Capability Brown when he landscaped the gardens of
(M. Binney: Country Life, CXLVIII, p102, 266)
