Cottage and watermill. Cottage, early C17 and late C18 or early C19. Timber
framed, exposed in rear wall, and cased or rebuilt in brick on the front.
Plain-tiled roof with ridge stack. 2 bays. 1 storey and attic. Rear elevation
has small framing of height of 2 panels to the wall. C20 casements. The gable
end has queen struts to the through purlin roof. Former watermill adjoins on the
south. C18 and C19. Coursed sandstone and red brick. English bond and flared
brick dressings, Blue/black plain-tile roof. 4 storeys and loft. Mill race at
south-east end. The race is now dry. On the south-west side wall a timber lucam
carried on brackets. The gable end has an iron casement with pivot light.
