13/172 The Old Bakery
House, early C19. Diaper brick with tiled roof. Two-storey, 3
bays, with roof extended c.1970 over further bay to right, set
forward. C19 5-bay bakehouse attached left, brick laced stone and
tiled roof. Entrance now in bakehouse, boarded door wih 2 lights
under bracketed canopy. Twenty-four-pane sashes to bays 1 and 3 of
house, 12-and 20-pane sashes to centre bay, all with gauged brick
lintels. Gable stacks. Eight-pane top hung windows to bakehouse
within bullnosed reveals. Roof vent over left end of bakehouse.
Interior said to contain fragments of an earlier building.
