Asymmetrical house of 2 parts. C17 building with C18 front to the left;
and a C19 extension to right. The left part is of 3 storeys. Coursed
freestone. Pantiled roof with eaves cornice. 1 pair of windows on second
floor. 3 windows with architrave surrounds to first and ground floors.
Sashes, glazing bars intact. In the gable-end to left is one C17 mullioned
window of 3 lights (blocked) with dripmould over. The right part of the
building also has 3 storeys with 1 window set in gable. Ashlar. One
single and one pair of windows on first floor with architrave surrounds.
Another pair on ground-floor to right. Sashes, glazing bars missing.
Doorway towards centre of whole front with hood supported by curved brackets
over. Recessed 6-panel door with rectangular fanlight. Entrance to garden
flanked by 2 urns on rubble wall.

No 7, Nos 9 to 19 (consec), the Chantry and Little Chantry form a group
with all the listed buildings in Church Street. The Catholic Church of
St Thomas More, Market Street and Nos 5 and 6 and 27 to 31 (consec) and
Wall at Builders Yard, Newtown.
