Farmhouse, now detached house. Late C17, altered late C18.
Limestone rubble stone, tiled roof with coped verges, brick stacks.
Two-storey, 4-windowed front. Six-panelled door in moulded
architrave with pedimented porch on Doric columns to left of
centre, to left is tripartite sash, to right are two tripartite
sashes, enlarged 1960s. First floor has four 12-pane sashes, over
door is stone sundial and lettering 17 RWS 75. Left return has 3-
light casement to ground floor, 2-light casement to first floor.
Rear has C20 glazed door inserted into former 3-light recessed
chamfered mullioned window, 2-light casement to right in blocked
doorway and 3-light casement in former mullioned window, first
floor has two 2-light and one 3-light casement, all inserted into
former mullioned windows in 1960s.
Interior has open fireplace with timber lintel on stone jambs to
west rooms, C18 dog-leg stairs with two turned balusters per tread,
ramped handrail and turned newels, stair hall has reset C17
panelling with arabesque frieze. Drawing room has door with 6
fielded panels, marble fireplace with mural over; C18 landscape in
painted eared architrave, recently uncovered (1985).
