4/295 Nos 43 and 45
House, dated 1708 (No 45) with later rear wing (No 43), rubble
stone with stone tiled roofs. No 45 faces west, 2 storeys with
coped gables and end wall stacks. Two first floor former 2-light
recessed cyma-moulded mullion windows with hoodmoulds, mullions
removed for casements. Two C20 ground floor doors with original
hoodmoulds over in C20 glazed lean-to. South end wall has blocked
door with IHA 1708 inscribed on lintel. North end 2-light recessed
cyma-moulded window with hoodmould to each floor, both blocked.
Former door in west wall, now window with hood continued over door
to No 43 at right angles. No 43 is of squared rubble with stone
tiles. Two upper 12-pane sashes, flush 6-panel door and tripartite
sash to ground floor, south front. Tripartite sash originally 4-
12-4 panes, plate glass sash replaces 12-pane.
