Nos 1 and 2, The Barton and Plangeross

Three cottages in irregular group, C17 to C18, rubble stone with
thatched and tiled roofs, one and a half storeys. Earliest range,
No 1 is painted, and thatched with east stack. North side gable to
left and, to right, under eyebrow, 3-light cyma-moulded flush
mullion window and hoodmould over plank door. Running north from
north gable is Bridgwater-tiled rear wing, now 'Plangeross' with
coped north gable and end stack. West dormer gable has 3-light
recessed cyma-moulded mullion window and hoodmould. C20 glazing to
ground floor. North end wall former door with raised moulded
surround and hood on brackets. Two-light mullion window and
dripstone above. East side is mostly C20. South side of thatched
range has 3-light cyma-moulded flush mullion window each floor. At
west end, No 2, is added with Bridgwater-tile roof, north door and
south 2-light flush cyma-moulded mullion window and hoodmould,
casement pair and door. C20 dormers. Extension to west No 3 The
Barton, is not of special interest.
