8/71 Nos 1 and 2 (Thickthorn Farmhouse)


Farmhouse, now two farm dwellings. C17 - C18. coursed squared
limestone front on coursed limestone rubble. Tiled roof with small
flat topped dormers. Gable stacks. 5 bays, central stair hall and
flanking reception rooms. Contemporary rear wing of 2 bays, all 2
storeys and attics.
Facade: refronting of late C18, mid C20 metal windows, 3-piece
ashlar lintels to ground floor, timber above. 6-panelled and
fielded door, upper panels glazed.
Interior: Spine beams with barred and toothed checked swept stops.
