Reputed to be cottage built for use for men working on Cathedral. Possible
C14 origin, present structure C16/C17 rebuilding. 2 storeys, brick ground
floor with timber framed upper part, brick infilling, some herring bone.
2 and 3 light C19 wood casements on 1st floor. One 4 light C17 casement to
right and C19 2 light wood casement to left on ground floor, flanking ledged
door in moulded frame with small pent hood. Taller 2 storey part to west
with hipped end to gable, upper; part timber framed.

All the listed buildings in the Close form an outstanding group.
