Formerly one house, now 2 cottages. Late - C17 with C19 and C20 alterations.
Slobbered rubble, painted stone dressings, stone slate roof. L-shaped plan. 2
storeys, 3 bays. Left-hand entrance has plain surround, plank door. Right-hand
entrance in recessed bay has chamfered surround; plank door; massive slate hood
on stone corbels. 2 niches to left, and one smaller recess above hood. Ground
floor has scattered fenestration which includes single light chamfered staircase
window and central former 2-light double chamfered with mullion now gone; fixed
lights. Upper floor left-hand and central windows have plain surrounds, sashes
with glazing bars to left and C20 casements to right. Right-hand former 2-light
double chamfered window with mullion now missing; C20 casements. Left of centre
ridge stack. Interior: No 3 contains stone dog-leg staircase with splat balusters.
No 4 reputedly contains inglenook fireplace now hidden by C20 fireplace.
