Masonic Hall

Formerly house, now hall. Early C19 for Thomas Hodgson Johnson. Stucco, slate
roof. Two storeys, five bays. Central entrance has Tuscan porch comprising two
engaged and two freestanding columns with pronounced entasis, and entablature; 8
panel door, upper 4 glazed. All windows have plain lintels; those on ground floor
are partially blocked at base and have sashes with glazing bars. Upper floor
sill band and 12-pane sashes in three windows (left-hand window partly blocked) and
C20 casements in remaining two windows. Moulded eaves cornice. Hipped slate
roof with stack in left-hand return and stack to right to rear wall. Source:
