School, 3rd quarter of C19. Coursed squared sandstone. Welsh
slate roof with stone dressings and stacks. Probably of 3 builds,
not far apart in time. 1-storey centre section of 2 wide bays has
boarded door with fancy hinges at right in multi-moulded 2-centred
arch with hoodmould; 2- and 3-light casements, with cusped heads to
lights, flank a large projecting offset stack holding niche with
coat-of-arms. Right projecting 2-storey gabled wing has mullioned-
and-transomed windows with pointed heads to lights, 2-light below,
3-light above under relieving arch. Stepped and corniced ridge
stacks. Projecting left wing of tall storey has 3-light window
with pointed heads; owl hole in gable. Extruded porch with Tudor-
arched boarded door. At right end is master's house, with 3-bay,
1½-storey front on right return: Low, 2-centred-arched doorway and
4 mullioned-and-transomed windows with pointed heads to lights, 3
on ground floor and 1 in a half-dormer.

Pent right extension is not of special interest.
