8/111 Wesleyan Chapel (formerly
6/10/69 listed as Methodist Chapel
Dated 1839)


Chapel dated 1839 on plaque above door. Coursed herringbone-tooled
sandstone; purple slate roof. 1 tall storey, 3 bays. Double door
of 6 ornamental panels, between first and second bays, in coved
2-centred-arched doorway; hooded fanlight above. 3 sash windows
with glazing bars and interlaced heads, in similar pointed-arched
surrounds, resting on cill band. Above door a square panel with
fan-patterned spandrels and oval plaque: W.C. Erected A.D. 1839.
Stone ridge and end copings, curved kneelers. In East return a
similar doorway and a similar window high up. Small 1-storey
south-east extension. Blank west end.
