House and former shop. Plaque on right gable dated 1812, later
additions to rear. Stuccoed sandstone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys,
2 windows to 1st floor. Square-faced stone surrounds to doors and
windows painted black. C20 door to each end in original surrounds.
To right part: a curved 2-storey bay with 3-light mullion window to
each floor, a 12-pane sash to upper central light, otherwise matching
casements with glazing bars. To left part: a window to each floor
has a casement with glazing bars. Tall central ashlar ridge stack
with band at top. Projecting stack to left return. Right return:
large ground-floor shop window has a wood casement with glazing bars
within a wooden frame with consoles and cornice. To 1st floor right
a renewed 24-pane sash beneath a rusticated wedge lintel. Circular
date-plaque beneath gable apex.
