Bridge in Cannon Hall
Footbridge. 1764-5. The landscape gardener was Richard Woods and the mason
John Marsden. For John Spencer Stanhope of Cannon Hall. Ashlar. Shallow
segmental arch with slightly projecting voussoirs forming a band. Low coping
of 5 straight-topped sections. 6 radiating ribs form 7 panels in spandrels.
Splayed ends terminate in octagonal piers with domed heads. Wavy iron
railings are possibly of later date.
