approximately 7 metres
to south of porch to

Chest tomb. Late C18. Magnesian limestone. Apsidal-ended chest set on
rectangular, 2-step plinth. Steps have nosed edges (iron railings removed
from lower step). Tomb has moulded plinth, recessed panel on north side and
indecipherable inscription on south side; apsidal ends have guilloche and
fluted ornament. Dentilled cornice surmounted by concave blocking stone with
socket probably for urn (now removed).
