Dairy with dovecote and attached pigsties. Early C19. For the Owston Hall
Estate. Rubble limestone (partly roughcast), Westmorland and Welsh slate
roofs. L-shaped plan: 2-storey, single-celled dairy and dovecote with
attached henhouse to west and 3 pig-sties in single-storey wing at right-
angles. 2-storey part has boarded door beneath segmental arch on north side;
overhanging eaves and small brick ridge stack. West and south sides have
round-headed 1st-floor windows, the latter with pigeon holes beneath a
Y-tracery casement with glazing bars. Wing to west has 2 boarded doors on
south side and is extended to north by lower pig-stye range each having a
brick round-arched doorway into a walled yard on east side. Included for
group value as part of Home Farm complex.
