Church. 1878-9 by J. Fawcett. Deeply coursed and squared gritstone,
punched finish, stone slate roofs. West tower, 4-bay nave with south
porch, aisles and clerestorey, 2-bay chancel with north vestry.
Perpendicular style. 3-stage west tower with diagonal buttresses,
3-light west window under hood mould with head-stops, square-headed
cusped light above, louvred 2-light Y-tracery bell openings and
embattled parapet. 2-light windows to aisle with similar hooded
lights to chancel, buttresses between each window. 4 square-headed
clerestorey windows of 5 lights. All windows with dripmould. Roll-
moulded parapet copings return up to gable apexes surmounted by crosses.
East window of 5 lights with panel tracery.

Interior: well carved oak furnishings and stonework details. Nave:
octagonal arcade piers with moulded bases and capitals. Double-
cavetto mould to arcade, chancel and west arches. Carved heads of
former encumbments above each aisle pier.
