House. 1857 rebuilding of probably 1687 house, incorporating some C17 fabric; early C20 extension. Irregular courses of squared sandstone; rear wing rubble; ashlar plinth, quoins and dressings; Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings. T-plan. Garden front 2 storeys, 3 bays, the third projecting slightly under front gable; late C19 sashes in central stone-mullioned corniced canted bay and in left window in architrave under scroll pediment; sill bands to C20 sashes above, flanking eroded sundial with pilasters and cornice. Square ground-floor bay window at right with alternate-block rustication, and stone-mullioned overlight on cornice; pilastered parapet above in front of paired late C19 sashes under C19 scrolled pediment with raised central panel; overlapping gable copings, with ball finials on right front gable; corniced ashlar chimneys on external stacks on returns and at right of second bay on ridge. Right return has 6-panel door and overlight under scrolled pediment. Gabled rear wing has blocked chamfered flat-Tudor-arched door under stone mask and dripmould; re-used scrolled pediment on one window in gable peak.

C20 left extension of one storey, 2 bays has flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills.

Interior: architraves, 4-panelled doors and some panelled window-shutters; cellar shows re-used rafters, some with carpenter's marks and stopped chamfers, as joists; panelled stucco beam along centre of left 2 bays suggests earlier fabric remains.
