Mansion, now offices. c.1734 and mid C19. Of red brick with stone dressings and rusticated stone quoins. The composition is broken down into smaller units of 2 and 3 storeys, with a basement at the west end. All have balustraded parapets and modillioned cornices. The ground storey of the west front is of smooth rusticated masonry and the parapet has elaborate arched pillared corners with octagonal turrets. There are a number of ornamental shaped 'Dutch' gables. The centre block on the south front has a centre piece with carved figures. The windows are varied in size and proportion, but are casements with stone transoms, mullions and architraves. The centre block on the south front has a semi-circular arched doorway with oriel bay window above. The wing to the east is plain on the north side and has 5 semi-circular windows with fan glazing pattern. The interior of this service wing contains C18 brick cross vaulted cellars on square piers. The fabric of the main block is substantially that of the C18 mansion and some door surrounds and rococo plasterwork survive from this period. A fine carved chimney piece in the saloon was described by Mullman in 1771.
