SO 32 NE LONGTOWN CP -

7/67 Ruthland

Farmhouse. C17 with mid-C19 alterations and extended C20. Sandstone
rubble with Welsh slate roof. Former L-plan now forming T with C20
extension to east of wing aligned east/west, gable-end stacks to main
wing now enclosed to east, entrance to left of centre on north front.
Two storeys and attics. Entrance front: one 3-light C20 casement window
to left and two 3-light windows to right, a 3-light wooden diamond mullioned
window with hood mould survives to right of doorway on ground floor, C20
lean-to porch with C20 ledged door. Interior not inspected but recorded
by RCHM as having plank-and-muntin panelled partition and stone winder
staircase (RCHM Vol I, p 189).
