3/226 Parish Church of St

Small church of C12 origins. Limestone rubble, old clay tile roofs. Some
renovation by Clutton c 1875. Norman nave originally aisleless, chancel arch
with chevrons. Chancel rebuilt late C13 when south chapel added to west of
chancel arch. Two-stage unbuttressed tower with datestone 1615 let into
parapet. C17 two-decker pulpit, C16 and C17 benches, chancel gates dated
1637. Dated nave roof truss 1669. Modern porch.
