Parish church. 1839-40, enlarged 1845. By Francis Bedford.
Yellow brick with tiled roofs. West tower, nave with two aisles,
chancel. Tower of three stages with moulded brick arched west
doorway with steep pointed hood mould terminating in
fleur-de-lis, and bearing dates on stops. Clock in second
stage, and paired bell chamber lights above. Parapet with
angle finials, renewed. Lancet windows in stone coped west
aisle walls. Five-bay aisles articulated by buttresses, each bay
containing a single lancet window. Brick corbelled eaves
cornice. Chancel a later addition, paired foiled lancet
windows to north and south and a tier of three lancet lights to
the east.
