Parish Church. Ascribed in the main to a rebuilding of circa 1340. West tower
with diagonal buttresses. Nave with north and south aisles, south porch and
chancel walls of coursed flint and rubble with much earlier red brick used as
closely spaced bands - free stone quoins. Tower repaired on west face circa
1700 with red brick and re-topped in gaults during C19. Considerable red brick
in tower buttresses. South porch has side-purlin and rafter-braced roof of circa
1500. Roofs ridged and pegtiled, north and south aisles have flat roofs with
parapets. (RCHM 1).
