Built as offices for the Eagle Insurance Company. 1866-68 by
David Brandon. Portland stone with some pink granite, slate roof;
in an ornate Italian style. 3 storeys, basement and dormered attic.
3 windows wide. 2 entrances flanking ground floor, the left hand
one with stone porch. Semicircular arched windows; sashes without
glazing bars, to ground and 1st floors. Stone balcony with iron
balustrading between dies to 1st floor; festooned frieze to crowning
entablature and balustraded parapet broken by pedimented dormers.
