Small country house. 1793-4 entrance front with top storey added probably c1830 when the garden front was built. Stucco. Welsh slate roof. Three storeys. Garden front of seven bays with central and end bays carried forward. End bays have fluted Corinthian two storey columns flanking first floor window with bas relief frieze, ground floor window with Corinthian columns and broken entablature. Central bay has fluted pilasters with anthemion capitals. Over first floor, large entablature with foliated frieze, dentil and mutule cornice. Attic storey above has smaller dentil cornice, blocking course with central and end scroll pediments, the central one topped by a large anthemion motif. Ground floor windows have architrave surrounds, ribbed consoles supporting cornices. First floor windows have eared architraves, bas relief panel over central window, which has corn ear mouldings to frieze. Second floor windows have moulded surrounds. South West front terrace with balustraded parapet. To right hand side recessed tower, later two storey wing. North front has tetrastyle Doric porch to pedimented central projection, slight end projections of facade, all c.1793 except attic storey of earlier C19. Cylindrical lantern, visible over attic, lights dome of staircase hall. Interior has coffered dome to staircase hall with first floor apse (over entrance hall) of semi-circular plan with fluted Corinthian columns and ribbed dome. Drawing room has panelled ceiling and serpentine chimneypiece with console supports.
