Built for Sir John Murray Naysmyth, 4th baronet, between 1832-37 to the designs of William Burn, archt. An Elizabethian style mansion of some merit with later Baronial extensions added by the late Mrs Alexander Balfour, grandmother of the present owner. John Archibald Campbell (of
Glasgow) architect.
