Description

William & Andrew Clerk (?) 1804. Gothick. 4-window
rectangle harled with margins, original glazing with
fluted centre pilaster, high piend roof. 3-bay west front,
centre bay advanced with elliptical window, curved gablet,
bellcote. Later session house. Interior: original gallery
with coats of arms on doric columns; laird's pew with
balustraded top; St. Machar-type ceiling, pulpit, lectern
and communion table, Dr. Wm. Kelly 1930.

Ecclesiastical bulding in use as such.

Details very similar to the Church of Skene whose design

was virtually reproduced at Crathie (1804) the memorial

stone of which recorded William and Andrew Clerk as

architects.
