The Hall to north of School House

A Grade II Listed Building in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire

The Hall to north of School House - now called Ross House

Uploader's Comments

Ross House stands in the centre of Thomas Alleyne's High School. In the 1980s it was in a very poor state of repair but in 1994 renovation of the building commenced and on 28 February 1996 it was re-opened by Sir Michael Atiyah.

The building was renamed Ross House, named after Miss Ross, who had been the last headmistress of the Uttoxeter Girls’ High school which had occupied the building. She served as headmistress from 1940 until 1962.
