A Grade I Listed Building in City of London, London

Church Steeple of St Augustine's Watling Street - photo September 2010

Uploader's Comments

St Augustine's Watling Street - church steeple - the spire, reconstructed in 1966, is attributed to Nicholas Hawksmoor. The body of the church was destroyed by fire in 1666, rebuilt and destroyed again by bombs in 1941. The tower survived, now connected to the modern structure of St Paul's Choir School. Seen with part of St Paul's Cathedral in the left foreground.
