Illuminated slate to wives of Alderman Gabriel Newton: Elizabeth, daughter of Alderman Gamaliel Wells d. 7th May 1725 aet 35, and Maria, daughter of George Bent, gentleman, d. 1st Apr 1737 aet 47. The Arms represent Leicester (Gules, a cinqufoil pierced ermine), Newton impaling Bent (Argent, on a chevron azure three garbs or, impaling: Azure, between a fess or, six bezants three and three, and on the fess three torteauxes.
