"Centuries"

Uploader's Comments

View of the building now called "Centuries" from Bartholomew Street, Hythe, Kent; taken in June 2011. Building currently a private home (since 1965), and undergoing extensive architectural and historic research regarding it's origins. Said to be the birthplace of Hamo de Hethe in 1275, who became a Bishop of Rochester in 1319, retaining the house and adding a large extension in 1335 as seen on the left. Current English Heritage information regarding this property contains errors and the ongoing research by the current owners is focused on correcting the information by providing data supporting the origins and history of the building.
