The monument includes a mid 18th century packhorse bridge which replaced an earlier stone bridge of 1533. The bridge was almost entirely rebuilt in 1973. It is constructed of hammer dressed stone with a wide single segmental, oversailing low parapet surmounted by 19th century cast iron railings. Scheduled and Listed Grade II*.
