Chapel of St Mary on East Side of Wakefield Bridge

A Grade I Listed Building in Wakefield East, Wakefield

Chantry Chapel of St Mary façade

Uploader's Comments

The original medieval façade was removed to Kettlethorpe Hall in 1832 and the replacement, carved from Caen stone, soon crumbled in the polluted urban atmosphere. It was completely replaced in 1939 using gritstone.
