Pair of Chest tombs. C17. (a) Chaffey monument about 2 metres east-north-east of tower. Chest tomb, C17. Ham stone
ashlar; step base, moulded plinth; plain ends and flanks, no frieze; cyma-recta coving to flat top. Commemorates George
Chaffey, died 1693; also Maude wife of William Chaffie, (sic) died 1615, and others. (b) Unidentified monument about 5
metres east-north-east of tower. Chest tomb, C17. Ham stone ashlar. Base buried; plain ends and flanks, no frieze;
cyma-recta coving to heavy flat top. Inscriptions too badly worn to be readable.
