Early to mid C19. 2 storey building in classical style. Hipped slate roof. Bracket
eaves cornice. Colourwashed front. 2 window bays face both on to Silver Street
and, downhill, to south-east. Sash windows with glazing bars intact. At right
hand end of Silver Street front, flight of 5 steps flanked by handrail lead to
doorway with C19 6-panelled door, top 2 panels glazed, moulded cornice on brackets.
At left hand end of Silver Street front, much lower 2-storey wing with hipped
slate roof; 3 window bays. Garden front to rear has 2 southernmost window bays
set on a curve; 1 window bay in recession to north. Sash windows. To north again,
lower 2-storey wing of 3 bays; outshut built on at right hand end; fenestration
partly altered.

Kent House, Springfield, Woodville and Mariner's Hotel form a group.
