Windmill

A Grade II Listed Building in Arundel, West Sussex

2008 - South Marsh Windmill, Arundel

Uploader's Comments

The converted tower of the old South Marsh Windmill in Fitzalan Road, Arundel. Taken on a visit in 2008. The mill was built c1830 and worked until 1915 when tail-winded in a heavy storm. In 1936 the cap was removed by the owner Mr V Capel and replaced with a shallow tile-covered substitute. It was shortly after this that the windshaft and machinery were removed and it was converted into a residence.
