Uploader's Comments

In the east wall an archway leads to the remains of a spiral staircase set in the thickness of the wall. Its purpose is unknown, but may have been associated with external pulpit, or sacristy. The bottle cemented into the wall refers to the Hallaton Bottle Kicking Game. (Photo Jul 2007).
