Staircase flight of 10 locks in two groups of 5, with a passing pound in between, and side pounds. 1810-12, restored 1909. Grand Union Canal, engineered by Benjamin Bevan, completed in 1814. 3rd set of gates photographed from the footbridge over the 2nd. (Photo Aug 1973).
