Milestone, probably mid C19 or earlier, whitewashed stone. Round front, straight back, half-dome top. Lettering reads 'TO WARRINGTON 2' (left); 'TO WIGAN 10 MILES' (right). 'MILES' inscription mostly obscured to left face due to raised ground level.

HISTORY: Milestone probably erected mid C19 or earlier. Situated along a former C18 turnpike road.
