Farm-building at Porthamel Farm

A Grade II Listed Building in Talgarth, Powys

Barn at Great Porthamel.

Uploader's Comments

This barn, and the tower, and the house (first built 1538) are all much in need of rescue. There is much written about them at the Welsh Heritage Library in Aberystwyth, and at the National Library of Wales. The built environment survey claimed that the buildings had already been compromised by the intrusion of the modern farm to be worthy of much attention.
(presis) Any number of historians might come to an entirely different conclusion.
