11.7.51 "Schoolmaster 's )
House".

GV II

Terraced house - former schoolmaster's house for Boyle's Old School (q.v.).
Appears C18, but may be of earlier origin. Rubble stone walls, brick stack
at right end, shared with school. 2 storeys. Ledged door with small glass
panel, under segmental hood on shaped brackets. Ground floor has 3 casements
with horizontal glazing bars. First floor has 3 similar windows. Evidence
of a further, blocked,ground floor window and door. Internally, right ground
floor room has large open fireplace, part built up, with deep timber lintel.
One chamfered ceiling beam.
