The Old Fire Engine House

Former fire engine house. Probably mid-C19. Cary stone roughly cut and squared, grey lias stone quoins, Doulting stone
dressings; steep-pitched Welsh slate roof between coped gables with kneeler stones. Single-storey. Plain building
constructed against a boundary wall to Manor Farmhouse (qv); on west side of pair of diagonal-boarded doors set in
elliptical archway, brick with keystone and plain stone imposts on which are incised the words "Engine" and "House";
above, in gable, a small plaque with a coat of arms. Interior not seen.
