Molineux chest tomb 10 yards
south of Church of St Anne


Chest tomb. Dated 185? Stone shest tomb in neo-Norman style. Stepped base
carrying chest tomb with 2 arched panels to sides and single panels to ends.
Round arches with dogtooth decoration on piers with impost mouldings and
secondary order of columns with moulded bases and scallopped capitals.
Dogtooth cornice to lid. Inscribed to George Molineux, d. MDCCCL?
