Edward Smith, esquire, son of Sir Roger, d. 1632 aged 34. He wears contemporary armour. The red hand in the centre of the heraldic shield above him indicates the baronetcy. He married Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Sir Edward Heron of Cressy, Lincs (issue one son Roger, one daughter Jane). She died 1629 aged 31. (Photo Jun 2007).
